Ivan Gasparovic re-elected as Slovak president: results



BRATISLAVA (AFP) - Incumbent Slovak President Ivan Gasparovic was re-elected in Saturday's runoff election with 55.55 percent of the vote, the statistics office said after 99 percent of ballots had been counted.
His challenger, former labour, social affairs and family minister Iveta Radicova, got 44.45 percent of the votes cast, and conceded defeat.

The turnout exceeded 51 percent of more than four million registered voters.
Official results were expected to be confirmed by national election committee later Sunday.
