Pope condemns Egyptian mosque attack as 'wanton act of brutality'





Vatican City - Pope Francis offered his condolences to the victims of the massacre at a mosque in Egypt's northern Sinai Peninsula, describing it as a "wanton act of brutality."



 
"His Holiness Pope Francis was profoundly grieved to learn of the great loss of life caused by the terrorist attacks on the al-Rawdah mosque in North Sinai," a statement from the Vatican said.
"His Holiness joins all people of good will in imploring that hearts hardened by hatred will learn to renounce the way of violence that leads to such great suffering, and embrace the way of peace
