Amy Winehouse cancels London comeback show

LONDON - Troubled British pop singer Amy Winehouse has cancelled a planned comeback show in London after a prolonged holiday in St. Lucia clouded by reports of ill-health, her management said Friday.
The 25-year-old Grammy-winning star, who has had a well-publicised struggle with drugs, was due to play with her band at the Shepherd's Bush Empire on May 31 on her return from the Caribbean.
But in a statement, her management said she "regretfully" had to cancel.

"Amy would like to apologise to her fans who bought tickets," adding that fans would be able to get refunds," it said.
Earlier this month a spokesman for the "Back to Black" and "Rehab" songstress said she had been taken to hospital after fainting in St. Lucia. She was kept in for a night for observation after tests found her dehydrated.
She looked to be in better health in recent months after turning her back on the London party scene and holing up on the Caribbean island.
