Basketball: Raptors' Bosh eyes NBA free agency in 2010

TORONTO- Toronto Raptors playmaker Chris Bosh says he does not intend to sign a National Basketball Association contract extension this year, setting him up to become a free agent after next season.
Bosh would play out the last season on a 15.7 million-dollar deal and test a free agent market that could also include Cleveland superstar LeBron James, NBA scoring leader Dwyane Wade of Miami, Canadian star Steve Nash and Amare Stoudemire.

"When I signed a three-year (deal) I had a goal in mind, and that was to put myself in the best position (for 2010)," Bosh said.
"I'm thinking I just want to stick to my goal, stick to what I was doing. That's a part of the plan.
"I just want to address things next season."
Raptors general manager Bryan Colangelo has said he hopes to sign a new deal with Bosh but not re-signing could prompt a trade move by Toronto, which went 33-49 this season to miss the playoffs.
