Billie Eilish wins favourite alternative artist at 2019 AMAs

LOS ANGELES (dpa)- Seventeen-year-old US singer Billie Eilish has won her first American Music Award.
The teen was crowned as the favourite alternative artist.
"To be named in this category is unbelievable," she said, "I am shaking."
The singer was nominated across six categories in total, including favourite female pop/rock artist and favourite pop/rock album.
The singer Ciara hosted the event that took place in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
The awards have been held since 1973.
