Danish ballet star Flindt dies at 72

Danish ballet dancer and choreographer Flemming Flindt died Tuesday at his Florida home after a short illness, his family said.
Born June 30, 1936, Flindt trained at the Royal Danish Theatre Ballet School in Copenhagen where he became a solo dancer at the age of 19.
Flindt rejoined the Royal Danish Theatre from 1966 to 1978, where he directed numerous modern ballets, notably "The Triumph of Death" in 1972.
From 1981 to 1989, he served as artistic director of the Dallas Ballet before returning to Copenhagen in 1991.
