THE HAGUE- The acting registrar of the UN tribunal set up to try the suspected killers of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq Hariri will visit Beirut next week, the tribunal said Friday.
Herman von Hebel will meet Lebanese President Michel Sleiman and Prime Minister Saad Hariri, the son of the slain tycoon and politician, among other officials, it said in a statement.

The tribunal was set up by the UN Security Council in 2007 to try suspects in the murder of Hariri, killed in a massive bomb blast on the Beirut seafront in February 2005.
Syria denies suspicions that it was involved. A UN commission of inquiry said it had found evidence to implicate Syrian and Lebanese intelligence services, but there are currently no suspects in custody.
