Hollywood stars in spotlight at US theater's Tony awards

NEW YORK- Hollywood stars scooped up US theater's top honors as 2010 Tony awards went to the likes of Catherine Zeta-Jones, Scarlett Johansson and Denzel Washington.
At a Sunday noght ceremony actress Catherine Zeta-Jones took home the Tony for best actress in a musical comedy for her work in "A Little Night Music" on Broadway, while Scarlett Johansson took the prize for her dramatic Broadway stage debut in Arthur Miller's "A View From the Bridge."

Box-office star Denzel Washington won best actor honors for "Fences" by the American playwright August Wilson.
"Red," a biography of expressionist Mark Rothko by John Logan, won best play, while "Memphis," a musical comedy set in then-segregated 1950s America, won the award for best musical comedy.
