DUBLIN- An Irish woman was among those killed when a Libyan airliner disintegrated on landing at Tripoli airport Wednesday, killing 103 people, Ireland's foreign minister said.
"I regret to confirm the death of an Irish citizen in the Libyan air crash today," said Micheal Martin, referring to the accident involving the Afriqiyah Airways Airbus A330 as it arrived from Johannesburg.

"Arrangements are being made to inform the family and my department is ready to provide all possible assistance at this difficult time," he said in a statement.
Libyan Transport Minister Mohammed Ali Zidan said the dead included nationals of nine countries but 61 came from the Netherlands, which ordered flags on government buildings flown at half-mast as a mark of respect.
An eight-year-old Dutch boy was the sole survivor of the crash.
