Netanyahu hopes for 'flowering' of Arab democracy

JERUSALEM- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday that he hoped for a "flowering of liberty and democracy in the Arab world," while denouncing Iran for what he said was an attempt to obstruct that goal.
"We do not want to see dictatorships that tread on the feet of human rights, hinder democratic reforms and are a threat to peace," he said in remarks at an official ceremony, according to his office.

"Iran is trying to to brake the impulse of democratic reforms, snuff out the lights that illuminate it and maintain the regime of darkness in place in Tehran."
