Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter Eugenie marries at Windsor Castle
By Bill Smith,
London -By Bill Smith, - Princess Eugenie, the granddaughter of British Queen Elizabeth II, married her long-term boyfriend Jack Brooksbank on Friday at the same royal chapel inside Windsor Castle where Prince Harry and Meghan, the duchess of Sussex, wed in May.
The queen, 92, attended the ceremony with her 97-year-old husband Prince Philip, the duke of Edinburgh.
Renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli sang "Ave Maria" following the exchange of wedding vows by Eugenie, 28, and Brooksbank, 32.
Like Harry and Meghan, the newly married couple plan to take a carriage ride outside the castle following their ceremony.
But the crowds cheering them were much smaller than in May, while only one British broadcaster, ITV, covered the event live.
Several A-list celebrities attended the ceremony at St George's Chapel, including models Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, and singers James Blunt and Robbie Williams.
Williams' daughter Theodora and Prince George and Princess Charlotte - the children of Prince William and Kate, the duchess of Cambridge - were among the bridesmaids and pageboys at the wedding.
Eugenie's sister Princess Beatrice, 30, was her maid of honour and spoke at the service.
Eugenie and Brooksbank have been a couple since they met at the Swiss ski resort of Verbier in 2010. Brooksbank proposed to Eugenie during a holiday in Nicaragua in January, according to the royal family.
She is the second daughter of Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, who retains the title duchess of York.
Brooksbank, dubbed a "socialite" by British media, is the former manager of upmarket London club Mahiki. He is now brand ambassador for Casamigos Tequila, co-founded by George Clooney.
Eugenie is eighth in line to the throne, behind her uncle, Prince Charles, his sons Prince William and Prince Harry, and her sister Beatrice.
