MADRID - The Reina Sofia contemporary art museum, one of the most visited in Spain, will be free of charge every weekday evening between 7:00pm and its closing at 9:00pm beginning Wednesday, its director said.
The Madrid museum, whose most famous work is Pablo Picasso's masterpiece Guernica, will also provide free entry all day Sunday, Manuel Borja told AFP.

Until now the museum has been free on Saturdays between 2:30 pm and 9:00 pm and Sundays between 10:00am and 2:30pm.
The museum, which displays over 2,000 works, has become a major attraction in the Spanish capital since it opened in 1992 at a former hospital.
It is considered one of Spain's three great museums along with the Prado Museum and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum which are also in Madrid.
