Tunisia postpones court appeal against Ben Ali

TUNIS- A Tunis appeals' court on Wednesday postponed till mid March a trial against ousted Tunisian leader Zine el Abidine Ben Ali and other officials, accused of torture, a court official told AFP.
The military appeals' court was to review the November 29 sentencing by a military court of Ben Ali to a five year jail sentence for his involvement in the torture of army officers.

Ben Ali, who was toppled from power a year ago, is living in Saudi Arabia.
Abdallah Kallal and Mohamed Ali Ganzoui, the former interior minister and former head of security respectively, were sentenced for their part to four years in prison for the torture of a group of army officers accused of planning a coup.
The alleged coup attempt was planned in 1991.
Ben Ali, along with his extended family and former ministers face scores of judicial proceedings and have already been sentenced to jail terms in other cases.
