Formula One: Barrichello fastest in Barcelona testing



Brawn GP maintained their impressive performance in testing here this week with Brazilian Rubens Barrichello notching up the fastest time at the Catalunya circuit on Thursday.
Barrichello clocked a best time of 1min 18.926 seconds in a 110-lap session for the new Formula One team owned by Ross Brawn that has risen out of the ashes of Honda.



Barrichello was almost one second faster than Nico Rosberg in a Williams.
The McLaren of reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton managed 1:20.869 among his 70 laps, giving him the eighth fastest time but nearly two seconds behind Barrichello.
In terms of times achieved, it has been a poor week for McLaren.
The 2009 season gets underway in Melbourne on March 29.
