Johnson wants 'Trump deal' as alternative to Iran nuclear agreement

NEW YORK (dpa)- British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is calling for a new Iran nuclear agreement, saying he hopes US President Donald Trump negotiates a fresh deal.
"Let's do a better deal," Johnson said in an interview with US broadcaster NBC, set to be aired on Monday.

"I think there's one guy who can do a better deal ... and that is the president of the United States. I hope there will be a Trump deal," NBC quoted Johnson as saying.
London has until now maintained support for the 2015 agreement between Tehran and world powers.
About the attack on a Saudi Arabian oil plant earlier this month, Johnson said: "We are virtually certain it was from Iran."
