Kevin Spacey back on social media with cryptic video for 'kindness'

WASHINGTON (dpa)- After a one-year hiatus, actor Kevin Spacey returned to social media with a cryptic one-minute video, apparently as his character Frank Underwood from House of Cards.
In the video, titled only KTWK, the actor, who has been hounded by sexual abuse allegations and effectively removed from the big and small screens, is stoking a fire in a hearth and says he would not miss a chance to wish all a merry Christmas.

“As we walk into 2020, I want to cast my vote for more good in this world,” he said. “Ah yes, I know what you’re thinking. Can he be serious? I’m dead serious. And it’s not that hard, trust me."
The actor then builds towards his possible point, a request for leniency: "The next time someone does something you don’t like, you can go on the attack. But you can also hold your fire and do the unexpected. You can kill them with kindness.”
The video ends with ominous music and the actor aggressively deploying his fire stick into the logs.
Spacey has not faced any criminal prosecutions over the abuses allegations, with prosecutors dropping one case as an alleged victim died and another became unavailable.
Underwood, the character, was killed off in the final season of House of Cards, as allegations began to surface.
The last video Spacey posted was on Christmas eve 2018, titled "Let Me Be Frank," in which he seemed to vaguely and bizarrely address the allegations.
