Polish writer Olga Tokarczuk wins 2018 Man Booker International Prize





London - Polish writer Olga Tokarczuk wins the 2018 Man Booker International Prize for translated fiction for her novel "Flights."



 
Tokarczuk's work, translated into English by Jennifer Croft, beat five other shortlisted books to take the prize, which includes an award of 50,000 pounds (72,000 dollars).
The judges praised Tokarczuk as a "writer of wonderful wit, imagination and literary panache."
