Quebec cartoonist wins pay-out over Crusoe plagiarism

Cinar affiliates that broadcast the program, including France Animation and BBC Worldwide (Television), were also named in the ruling.
Robinson had presented his works to Cinar almost two decades ago, but was turned away. He later spotted Cinar's "Robinson Sucroe" series and noted its remarkable similarities to his own creation.
The Quebec Superior Court also ordered "Robinson Sucroe" producers to cease making the series and hand over all prints to Robinson.
