Saudi king leaves for multi-nation trip



RIYADH- Saudi King Abdullah left on Saturday for a vacation in Morocco before heading to the G20 summit in Canada, to be followed by working trips to Washington and Paris, the state news agency SPA said.
The 86-year-old monarch was expected to stay in Morocco, a popular summer holiday stop for the Saudi royal family, until flying to Toronto for the June 26-27 meeting of leaders of the G-20 group of key economies.

After that he will travel to Washington, where he is to hold private meetings with President Barack Obama, according to the Washington-based Politico website.
Abdullah will also travel to France, SPA said, without giving details of the dates.
President Nicolas Sarkozy has invited him to be the foreign guest of honour at the 14 July Bastille Day celebrations, and also to visit a new exhibit of Saudi archaeological artifacts at the Louvre museum that opens July 16.
