The aim of the visit by UN chief Ban Ki-moon's top political adviser was to bolster partnerships with key member states and regional organizations in conflict prevention, peacemaking and post-conflict peacebuilding.
Haq said Pascoe would discuss the world body's cooperation with the region on dealing with hotspots such as Somalia, Burundi, the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda and Madagascar.
