Trump, May agree that chemical weapons use must not 'go unchallenged'

London (dpa) - The Syrian government has "established a pattern of dangerous behaviour in relation to the use of chemical weapons," US President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Theresa May have agreed during a telephone call.

"They agreed it was vital that the use of chemical weapons did not go
unchallenged, and on the need to deter the further use of chemical weapons by the Assad regime," according to a statement from Downing Street.
"They agreed to keep working closely together on the international response," the statement continued.
