Trump launches campaign blasting the 'fake news media'

Washington - US President Donald Trump launched his 2020 re-election campaign with repeated attacks on media outlets, referring numerous times to the "fake news media" as he opened his speech.

The large crowd joined in, chanting "CNN sucks" at one point in the first minutes as Trump pointed to the line of television cameras.
"Our radical Democrat opponents are driven by hatred, prejudice and rage. They want to destroy you and they want to destroy our country as we know it. Not acceptable, not going to happen," Trump said, blasting his political rivals.
The president continued to present himself as an outsider fighting against "Washington insiders" and the "rigged system." He went on to attack the recently closed inquiry into Russian election meddling.
