Amy Winehouse's husband seeks divorce, citing adultery: lawyer

LONDON (AFP) - The husband of troubled Grammy Award-winning British singer Amy Winehouse is seeking a divorce on the grounds of her adultery, his lawyer said Monday.
Henri Brandman, who is representing Blake Fielder-Civil, released a brief statement saying: "I can confirm that I have been instructed to commence divorce proceedings on the grounds of Amy's adultery."

The couple married in Miami in May 2007 but have had a tempestuous relationship, while Fielder-Civil spent much of last year behind bars for a vicious attack on a pub landlord and a subsequent attempt to cover it up.
Winehouse has allegedly struggled with a drug habit and Fielder-Civil was ordered to reside at a drug rehabilitation centre after he left prison in November.
The 25-year-old "Back to Black" songstress was pictured last week in British newspapers in the arms of a little-known 21-year-old British actor, Josh Bowman, while on holiday in St Lucia.
Her spokesman said: "Papers have been received and the matter is with Amy's lawyers."
Winehouse's father Mitch Winehouse has publicly aired his concerns about Fielder-Civil, 26, saying "it's a fact that the hard drugs coincided with their marriage".
