France donates Holocaust archive to Yad Vashem museum



PARIS - France's national broadcast institute said Wednesday it has donated a archive of 110 filmed interviews on the Holocaust to Jerusalem's Yad Vashem memorial.
Shot over 18 months in 2005 and 2006, in partnership with the French Holocaust memorial foundation, the 300-hour collection includes interviews with Nazi death camp survivors and the children and relatives of deportees.

Jewish children kept hidden from the Nazis, French men and women who sheltered Jews from deportation and former Resistance members all contributed to the archive.
French historians and activists, including several who have campaigned to bring Nazis to justice, also took part in the project, which has been partly viewable online since 2007.
