Italy's Salvini: All rescued sea migrants must be returned to Libya

Rome - The "only solution" to Europe's migration crisis is to return to Libya all migrants rescued in the Mediterranean, Italy's Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Matteo Salvini says.

"The objective is to change the rules and make Libyan ports safe ports," Salvini says in a press conference from Moscow, streamed on his Facebook profile.
"[We should] save, rescue, treat, feed and return [migrants] to where they came from, one by one [...] the European Union must convince itself that it is the only solution to get out of this tunnel."
Salvini adds that migrants should be allowed to make asylum applications to Europe from Africa, and that those eligible would be granted entry into the EU.
