Lil Wayne sentencing scheduled Monday

NEW YORK - Rapper Lil Wayne is scheduled to be sentenced to prison in New York next Monday, officials said Wednesday after a courthouse fire delayed the sentencing.
"He's due to be sentenced on Monday," a spokeswoman for District Attorney Cyrus Vance told AFP.
The platinum-selling singer had been due for sentencing Tuesday on a weapons possession conviction. However, a basement fire caused the evacuation of the Manhattan courthouse.

The diminutive, heavily tattooed singer, winner of four Grammys in 2009, is expected to be sentenced to a one-year jail term, although he could be out earlier with good behavior.
Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, pleaded guilty in October to weapons possession after a loaded .40 caliber pistol was found on his tour bus.
The 27-year-old rapper already saw his sentencing delayed when a judge allowed him to remain free for major dental work on his diamond-encrusted teeth.
