Poles snap up Szymborska's posthumous volume of poems

WARSAW- A posthumous collection of poems by Poland's Nobel literature laureate Wislawa Szymborska went on sale on Friday, selling out within hours at several bookstores in the capital.
The collection titled "Wystarczy" (Enough) features thirteen poems Szymborska had composed shortly before her death in February at the age of 88, Malgorzata Knap, a spokesperson for the a5 publishers, told AFP Friday.

The tome also gives readers an intimate glimpse of Szymborska's work including copies of her original handwritten manuscripts and unfinished works.
The book includes some previously unpublished poems by the woman who won the Nobel Prize for literature in 1996 and was quickly snapped up in Warsaw bookstores.
"We're all sold out," AFP was told at several stores in the capital early afternoon.
Renowned both in Poland and abroad for the measured elegance and humour of her poetry, Szymborska passed away February 1 at her beloved home in the historic southern Polish city of Krakow, where she composed most of her work.
Over her lifetime, Szymborska published over 20 collections of poetry, often taking a humorous philosophical look at the moral dilemmas of the modern world.
